Mark Mann
MA, LCMHC, NCC, LCASA
Life does not always take us down straight paths, and sometimes we are left with
broken dreams, mental and emotional wounds, and maybe even long-term challenges. Anxiety, self-doubt, low self-esteem, fear, depression, anger, and many other emotions can settle in during difficult times. Mark has experienced multiple twists in the road with the accompanying broken dreams, and the mental and emotional wounds. Having been a counselee, Mark understands the counseling process from both sides and feels that having been a counselee makes him a better counselor. He also feels that his difficult experiences have become a point of great strength for himself and others.
Mark graduated Montreat College in 2022 with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health. In his undergraduate program, Mark majored in Family Studies and minored in Biblical studies. Mark is a licensed mental health counselor and holds associate licensure as an addiction counselor. As a former youth minister, he has experience working with adolescents. Having battled with personal health thorns, Mark is able to connect with those struggling with chronic illness. Working with motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and a logotherapy standpoint, he seeks to help individuals find new perspectives, heal emotional wounds, discover hope, and live with purpose. Mark desires to create a safe, authentic space for sharing.
